The RED HARLEM READERS presents a concert reading of THUNDERBUDDIES, a 2-act comedy-drama, by James Childs and directed by Richard Gaffield. The play is set in contemporary Brooklyn and considers the nature of friendship, love, and power .. distilling each until something more exquisite results. The actors are Sarah Ahlgren, Kasia Brocka,David Lamberton, Joey LePage, Peter McElligott and Nicole Pandolfo.

“RED HARLEM” was a joking way Native American people used to describe their active and thriving community between W. 106th Street and Morningside Heights some 30 years ago. The Red Harlem Readers takes its name from those people, who lived, worked and raised families in this neighborhood.
