Sonya Cooke
Sonya Cooke is an Actor and private acting coach who specializes in helping actors identify the techniques that inspire them and create their best work. All sessions are offered on a sliding scale to suit the actor’s budget. Her background is first and foremost in Meisner technique, and she draws heavily from Louis Scheeder’s Neoclassical approach and Declan Donnellan’s book, The Actor and the Target. Sonya works with her students on a case-by-case basis and applies only the tools necessary to empower the individual actor. The work is rigorous but always fun! Russell Jordan
Russell Jordan is a talented actor and voice-over artist. Audiences have seen his versatility both on the stage and on film. New media fans have also seen his work on several popular web series and comedy shows. His voice can be heard on Port Authority podcasts and Desktop Epics audio drama. Christopher Kelk
Christopher Kelk (Equity/ACTRA), Canada: is an actor in Toronto, primarily theatre, but also film as well. He also is a translator of Latin and ancient Greek texts. NYCPlaywrights readings help writers create new plays. The plays read are not perfected works. Readings are entertaining, but newcomers should be aware some plays will have a raw quality and need changes. Weekly meetings are on Tuesdays from September through June – except holidays.
